Dear Matthew,

Thank you so much for the beautiful landscaping job your company does on Brine Square at the junction of Humphrey Street and Atlantic Avenue. That island always looks so well manicured and I wanted to Thank You for taking such wonderful care of it these many years.

This is a memorial to my two uncles Lt. Robert and William Brine who were both USAF members that were killed in World War II in separate incidents. Their parents lived at 802 and 838 Humphrey Street for years and so the stanchion was placed close to those homes. My friend, John McLaughlin took the enclosed photo, I thought I’d share. He often decorates the memorial on special occasions like Memorial Day. As the daughter of Philip A. Brine, Jr., I am the last Brine – living in Swampscott and wanted to recognize and thank you for your wonderful care of this memorial.

Sincerely,

Martha A. B.

Dear Matt,

On behalf of the Senior Center, I want to thank you for arranging for the removal of the stumps and planting the beautiful roses and hydrangeas. I wish you would have seen the faces of everyone who came into knitting on Wednesday and stood in awe of the transformation of our gardens.

You have made us all happy and grateful. Most especially, your proud Mom is bursting at the seams about her generous son! A million thanks from all of us at the Center.

Dear Mary Ann,

I want to thank you so much for the landscaping design plan as well as your time and effort in creating a beautiful entrance area here at Sheffield Heights. Every time I go in and out of the complex I think of you and how hard you worked to give us this lovely garden.

I will admit that in the beginning I was a little skeptical, but after a few weeks, the entire project just “popped” with gorgeous colors. So many of our residents as well as visitors have been very complimentary about our “new look” – they really like it!!

Sincerely,

Peggy Logan M. Board of Selectmen: Brian C., Chairman, Nancy M. J., Selectman, Christine L., Clerk, Kosta E. P., Selectman, Timothy P. H., Selectman, Ira S. S., Town Administrator
